Our C24-graded timber is imported from Scandinavia, where the cold climate and slow-growing forests produce timber with tight grain, high density, and exceptional structural strength. This premium grade offers superior load-bearing performance compared to lower grades (such as C16), making it suitable for demanding applications such as joists, rafters, studs, and wall plates. Each piece is kiln-dried, regularised (planed for consistent sizing), and pressure-treated to ensure long-term stability, durability, and protection against decay and insect attack. Ideal for both internal and external use.

Treated Timber Features

• Often used as a wall plate in roof and floor construction to provide a stable fixing point for joists and rafters.
• Regularised finish — planed on all sides with eased (rounded) edges for smoother handling and consistent dimensions.
• Finished size approximately 2 mm under nominal thickness and 5 mm under nominal width for uniformity.
• Pressure-treated using Tanalith E (or equivalent) to enhance durability and resistance to rot and insects.
• Kiln-dried to reduce moisture content, improving straightness and dimensional stability.
• Strength-graded to C24 for dependable performance in structural applications.
• Important: All cut ends must be re-sealed with a proprietary preservative after cutting to maintain full protection.
