Double Grooved Spreader Plate 390X1000 (200mm Centres)

Underfloor Heating Double Grooved Spreader Plate, otherwise known as diffusion or heat emission plates,  for suspended floor constructions, fitting on top of floor joists or battens at the standard 400mm centres. Because of the 200mm pipe spacing these plates are commonly used with Boiler systems. If you require Triple Groove Plates these are also available. Plates are also commonly referred to as diffuser plates or trays. The Aluminium plates can be nailed, screwed or stapled onto the top of the floor joist or batten. The aluminium underfloor heating spreader plates can give an output of 77 watts per m² at a room temperature of 20 degrees C. But this is subject to many different factors that can vary the output as well as the floor temperature. When installing the underfloor heating spreader plates double we strongly recommend that the plate sits tightly beneath the floorboards. This is so that they are in direct contact with the sub-floor offering maximum heat transfer. We highly recommend using Rockwool or similar, which should be fitted directly underneath the plate. The Metal heat transfer plates for underfloor heating are one of the most common and effective ways of having an underfloor system on the first floor.  Spreader plates double groove aluminium can also be used with regroove insulated panel.

How many plates do I require?

To calculate how many underfloor heating joist plates you require, multiply your heated floor m2 by 2, this will give you 80% coverage.
