Everbuild® 501 Universal PVA Bond – 5 L

Medium-viscosity, polyvinyl acetate-based emulsion supplied in a 5 L jerry can. Free from harmful phthalates, it serves as a general-purpose bonding agent, primer, sealer, admixture, and adhesive across a wide range of construction applications.

Usage guidance

• Use as a primer: dilute at 4 parts water to 1 part emulsion and seal porous surfaces before coating.
• As a bonding agent for plaster: apply undiluted and cover with fresh plaster before the film dries.
• As an admixture in mortar: mix equal parts PVA Bond and water into the dry mix for small areas, or dilute 3 parts emulsion to 1 part water for large areas—apply render before film sets.

• Pack size: 5 L jerry can (also available in 1 L, 2.5 L, 25 L, and 1000 L IBC).
• Appearance: White liquid emulsion.
• Total solids: 32–37 %.
• Viscosity: 7 000–15 000 cP at 23 °C (Brookfield RTV 5/20).
• Minimum film-forming temperature: −2 °C to +5 °C.
• Density: approx. 1.07 g/cm³.
• pH value: 4–6.
• Shelf life: 12 months from manufacture in unopened containers, when stored between 5–25 °C away from direct sunlight and frost.
• Standards: Meets bond strength requirements of BS 5270 for internal use with gypsum plasters.

Good to know

Not suitable for load-bearing adhesive applications. Use only internally—select Everbuild® 503 Premium SBR Bond for external or damp applications.
