    Everbuild® Black Jack® 902 Bitumen & Flashing Primer – 5 L

Thin, solvent-based black primer supplied in a 5 L tin, formulated to provide a solid key for bitumen paints, roof coatings, and flashing systems. It ensures superior adhesion on a wide variety of substrates.

    Key benefits

    • Fast drying—typically touch-dry within 3–6 hours depending on conditions.
    • Provides excellent keying for all bituminous coatings.
    • Produces a consistent film with coverage up to 11 m² per litre on non-porous surfaces, around 4–6 m² per litre on porous substrates.

    Typical applications

    • Priming before application of bitumen paint or flashing tape.
    • Works effectively on concrete roofs, screeds, renders, bitumen felt, asphalt and mastic, wood, and weathered corrugated iron or steel.

    Usage guidance

    • Surfaces must be clean, dry, stable, and free from contaminants, rust, paint or tar residues.
    • Product is ready to use—do not thin. Stir thoroughly before and during application.
    • Apply by brush or spray, thoroughly scrubbing in to ensure even, thin coverage; avoid pooling.
    • Allow to dry fully before applying bituminous topcoat or flashing tape.
    • Clean tools immediately after use using white spirit or Sika Wonder Wipes.
