Everbuild® Black Jack® Flashing Tape – 75 mm × 10 m roll

Strong self-adhesive flashing tape featuring aluminium foil and a bitumen-rubber adhesive that forms a waterproof seal simply by pressing it into place. Offers a flexible, durable alternative to lead flashing.

Typical applications

• Repairing or replacing existing flashing and parapet wall flashing.
• Flashing around roofs, skylights, ridges, capping bolts, timber‐to‐brickwork junctions, concrete repairs, and lead gutter fixes.

Usage guidance

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, or grease.
• Prime porous substrates (e.g., concrete, brick) with Black Jack Bitumen & Flashing Primer before application.
• Cut to length, peel back approximately 50 mm of the release liner, and press the tape into position as you remove the backing.
• Use a small roller to eliminate air pockets and ensure tight adhesion. Maintain at least 25 mm of overlap between joints.
• In cold conditions, improve adhesion by warming the tape’s adhesive layer with a hot air blower or by storing the tape at warmer temperatures prior to use.

Good to know

Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces—always ensure full curing of any primers used underneath. For best results, test adhesion in a small area first, especially in extreme weather conditions.
