Frequently Asked Question
Q. What thickness and type of floor insulation will I require?
A. Usually the thickness will be determined by building regs and specific to your U-values. These 60mm clips can be used with 50+mm insulation. If using 25mm insulation then please use the 40mm tacker clips.
Q. What is the recommended screed Depth?
A. Liquid screed is normally around 50mm, with traditional sand and cement screeds being 65mm. However, please check with the company being used.
Q. Do I need a vapour barrier?
A. YES, most liquid screed companies make this compulsory. This is mostly to stop the insulation from floating. we would also advise this with sand and cement screeds, but is not essential.
Q. Where can the tacker system be fitted?
A. To any concrete floor construction where insulation and then screed is being laid. These clips do not fix directly onto concrete.
