    Everbuild® 209 Liquid Mortar Tone – Black 1 L

High-performance liquid colouring admixture supplied in a 1 L container. Specifically formulated to colour mortar, rendering, concrete, and pointing mixes evenly—this liquid disperses consistently while improving workability and reducing bleeding and efflorescence.

    Key benefits

    • Uniform colouring—disperses quickly and evenly for consistent shade across batches.
    • Includes plasticiser for improved workability and trowelability.
    • Chloride-free (chloride ion content < 0.1 %).
    • Reduces bleeding, segregation, and inhibits efflorescence.
    • Adjustable shade depth by varying the dosage.

    Typical applications

    • Colouring mortar, concrete, rendering, and pointing mixes.
    • Suitable for floor screeds, bricklaying mortar, and coloured pointing applications.

    Usage guidance

    • Shake well before use.
    • Add to gauging water at a rate of 0.5–1 L per 1 L of gauging water.
    • For flooring screed (granolithic): 1 part cement, ½ part coarse sand, 2 parts granite dust, plus the specified volume of the product.
    • For bricklaying mortar: 1 part cement, 6 parts building sand, plus the product as per dosage.
    • Do not exceed 1 L per 1 L gauging water—overdosing reduces mix strength.
    • Use consistent sand and cement batches to avoid shading variations.
    • Not suitable for mixes containing lime.

    Product details

    • Pack size: 1 L plastic container (also available in 5 L).
    • Appearance: Black liquid based on carbon black.
    • Density: 1.1–1.25 g/cm³.
    • Total chloride ion content: < 0.1 % w/w.
    • Shelf life: 24 months; store in cool, dry conditions (5–25 °C), protected from frost.

    Good to know

Always test on a small patch before full application. Extreme doses or varying substrate colours may affect final results.
